It’s hard to believe, but New Year’s is only a few weeks away. To get a head start on your planning, check out the celebrations at Big Bear Mountain Resorts.
Bear Mountain New Year’s Eve Party
Beginning at 9pm, DJ Club George returns for another great night of music and mayhem. The $25 cover charge includes party favours, a huge spread of appetizers and a champagne toast at midnight. Once again, the highlight of the night is sure to be Club G’s infamous go-go dancing cages.
Snow Summit Torchlight Parade and New Year’s Eve Party
This is Big Bear’s signature New Year’s event. At 7pm, hundreds of skiers carry torches and wind their way down Snow Summit’s Miracle Mile. After the parade, the lights are turned on and the mountain opens for night skiing. The spectacle can be viewed from the base of the mountain, or from other locations in the valley, including the North Shore. Snow Summit’s New Year’s Eve After-Party takes place in the Bullwheel Bar at 9 pm (21+).
Both Snow Summit and Bear Mountain limit ticket sales in order to keep the resorts at a comfortable level. On peak weekends and holidays (including New Year’s Eve), it’s recommended that you reserve tickets a few days in advance. If you don’t use your tickets on the day of your reservation, they’ll be kept in the system until you’re ready.
Big Bear Mountain Resorts lift tickets are good for both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. Day pass prices for Dec 31 are: Adults (22+) - $56, Seniors (62+) - $46, Young Adult (13-21) - $46, Child (7-12) - $25, Child (6 and under) - Free!
